Available Jaw Therapy

Since there is no quick fix or immediate cure for temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD) and craniofacial pain (CFP), the most successful treatments emphasize self-management and minimizing triggering factors. Most patients suffering from both TMD and CFP achieve good long-term relief with conservative therapy.  Over 50% of TMD sufferers treated with conservative management have few to no ongoing TMD symptoms.

Intraoral Massage Therapy

Intraoral Massage is a set of manual techniques that reduces tension in the muscles and fascia of the face, jaw, mouth, neck and throat.  Treatment consists of precise massage techniques to the neck, jaw, head, and muscles of the mouth (inside & out), giving particular attention to the chewing muscles, eliminating trigger points, and releasing fascial tension from the neck up.

Myofunctional Therapy

Myofunctional therapy is an exercise-based therapy, much like physical therapy for the muscles of the mouth, tongue, and face.  Training these muscles can help improve talking, eating, breathing, and even sleep-related disorders.
